Push + In-App notification in Alive App

Alive App is used by cardholders to quickly display ID cards and simple discount use and search. Using notifications we inform users about news mostly about card benefits. They may contain an ISIC message or a message from an individual benefit partner.

Push + In-App Notification appears first in a shortened version on a phone screen with an option to go to the app or an external site. The full version of the notification stays available in the app's Notification section.

Communication requirements

It is necessary for the communication to always be tailored for the chosen target group (for example high school and university students in the case of an ISIC card) and for it to always display the value of the partner benefit in conjunction with the ID card.

  • Information about new scenes, limited offers and exclusive news from benefit partners is expected. The notification must be clearly and effectively formulated and the headline must contain both the name of the partner and the name ISIC (or the name of a different ID card), for example „20% discount in Knihy Dobrovský with an ISIC card“, „PAUL offers free 1+1 croissant for ISIC cardholders“, „ISIC TIP: get a new card with a LoL design from KB“ etc.
  • Use the appropriate tone of voice for the target group - informal for ISIC cardholder and formal for ITIC and Alive cardholders.
  • Communication cannot contain vulgarisms or other unethical elements, nor incite violence or an unhealthy lifestyle.

TARGET GROUP

User groups of our cardholders:

  • ISIC – students of high schools and/or universities
  • ITIC – teachers
  • Alive – non-teaching school staff, graduates and students who aren't eligible for an ISIC card.

Within a given group it is possible to target a specific user segment if needed, typically according to age or location. In the case where you wish to target multiple groups it s necessary to submit multiple variants that correspond to  chosen target groups.

The message is being delivered in the name of ISIC (ITIC/ALIVE), it is therefore necessary to keep in mind that we = ISIC when formulating content. The text should not contain phrases such as „Our product…“, „We are the leader in“ etc. which may be misleading.

  • Get 10% off your Tesco purchases every week with ISIC
INCORRECT
  • We bring you our student tariffs starting from 487 CZK monthly
  • Get 10% off every week in our shops

Material specification

Push notification (appears on the screen of the device)

Its purpose is to engage the user and prompt them to take an action. The push notification disappears upon tapping:

Headline
  • Length max. 50 characters including spaces
  • It has to accurately characterize the content of the notification and include both the name of the partner and the name ISIC (or the name of one of our different ID cards)
  • In the moment of displaying the notification on the screen, the first
    15-30 characters of the headline are visible (according to the device type), therefore include the attention-grabbing keywords in the beginning
Text
  • Length max. 70 characters including spaces
  • Without links
  • Push notification can be clicked only as a whole - we recommend formulating a call to action to tap in the text itself
Action after tapping on the notification (same for Push and In-app)
  • Opening the detail of a specific discount provider (within the app)
  • Opening the competition section (within the app)
  • Opening of an external landing page designed for cardholders (for example a student program for ISIC cardholers) - it is necessary to provide the URL
In-App notification (appears in the app)

The content expands on the Push notification and appears within the app where it stays available to the user for repeated reading. It can contain longer text and an image.

  • Same as the previous Push notification
Text
  • Length max. 150 characters including spaces
  • It allows for elaboration of the message that appears in the Push notification and directs the user to perform an action.
Image (optional)
  • We do not recommend the image to contain text, because of the small display space.
  • Dimensions: 2 000 x 1 000 px (aspect ratio 2:1)
  • Format: PNG
  • The image appears only In-App
CTA button (optional)
  • Text length max. 20 characters
